Have a look inside my home at Christmas Time. Fortunately, my husband enjoys decorating outdoors and we made the snowman you see in the front of our home. We made it when we first got married, almost 20 years ago and still enjoy seeing it welcome visitors each year. Of course, at night we have many Christmas lights to help give you that good Holiday spirit. We haven't lived in this house but about 2 years and have plans for more decoration outside. I really think my husband would put up so many lights that we would need to own the power company to afford it. Each year, I add to my decoration and always add at least one new ornament to the tree. For years, I have loved Christmas Mice and Snowmen so you will find many of these on my Christmas Tree. I even have several that are homemade or handpainted so as you can tell I love a variety of ornaments with a mixture of themes. Since moving to this house I now have a loft that I am looking forward to decorating and plan on having another Christmas tree in there. Isn't it just awful that I will need to buy lots more Christmas collectibles and ornaments. :o) The Angel on the mantel is my oldest Christmas piece and was given to me by my mother. We made an overdress to cover the original one since it was beginning to look worn. But the original dress is underneath and unharmed. I suspect this angel was made during the late 50s or early 60s but I'm really not sure. I inherited my love of Christmas from my mother, each Christmas was an exciting time around our home. As a little girl, I just couldn't wait to help her decorate the tree and house, believe me no room was untouched. She was always full of the Christmas spirit and gave me some wonderful childhood memories. Well, this is just a sample of Christmas time at my house. I have tons more for you to see but this will have to do for now. I hope to add some of my Santa Claus collection soon. I hope you enjoy Christmas and the Holiday Season at your house as much as we do. Christmas and Holiday memories last a lifetime. |
